Horse in the sky.
21 Dec
I woke up this morning with resolve to spend the day making vegan treats for all of my friends. I was abnormally peppy and well rested. I hung my beard art… yes, that’s an actual thing (two artsy framed pictures of beards that I had framed yesterday, no joke, I have a serious problem) and proceeded to skip outside to my car. It should be mentioned that I live in a less than safe area. After all, the true measure of indie cred is how likely you are to be shot on a daily basis and still be bold enough to wear Ray Bans.
I skipped gleefully to my car and upon entering, did the usual iPod search. Then. BAM! Loogie. On. My. Window.
Only in St.Pete can a homeless person be drunk enough at 9am to A) spit on a CAR and B) a car with SOMEONE IN IT. I looked over and the eye contact was made but passively acknowledged. I love this city.
I promptly selected this on the iPod and the morning has gone steadily up from there. Hope everyone is having a lovely Chrismakwanzikuh kind of week.
Loogie free of course.
It’s been about 4 years since NPR gave these weirdos (yes, weirdos, they are weird. Look it up.) a kick in the pants. Since then I guess they have been busy writing visual poetry about healthy food. Yep. Wikipedia doesn’t lie. Dudes are weird.
No matter how bizarre, they make decent musics. With a title like, “Horse in the sky” that automatically conjures images of my little pony being chucked into the stratosphere, how can you not love them?!
